Weekend STEM & Science clubs
WEEKEND STEM & SCIENCE CLUBS DURING TERM TIMES, 4-12 YEARS: ENROL HERE
Our STEM Sunday mornings run from 10.00-10.50 for 4-7 years and 11.00-11.50 for 8-12 years at Holiday Inn Kensington Forum.
Each weekly topic is highly interactive and completely experiment based. Pupils are able to expand their knowledge, allow themselves more time with their teachers and peers. You will receive parental notes before each class to review and discuss with your child/ren before and after each lesson.
Our teachers are PhDs and Master Degree Students in Astrophysics and Theoretical Physics from Imperial College and Oxford University, who have extensive experience working with young aspiring scientists and are excellent communicators.
Please feel free to ask us for a trial class. We also offer sibling discounts and weekly or monthly payment options! ALL SCIENCE CLUBS ARE FULLY RISK ASSESSED and all teachers have enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training in place!
We are working with the venue and our teachers to ensure the venue, all surrounding areas (break areas/bathrooms) and our equipment are safe to be used and we are following the exact government rules and guidelines: https://www.hse.gov.uk/coronavirus/social-distancing/index.htm#common_areas
HOW DO OUR WEEKEND SCIENCE CLUBS WORK?
Each project-based science club lesson introduces children to a new scientific concept or idea in a simplified and an age-adjusted way each week. The starting point of each workshop is an exciting overview and presentation by the teacher incorporating group discussions of the scientific subject and practical demonstrations using props and respective materials. The second part of the workshop is dedicated to practical work where children have the opportunity to explore the topic of the day by performing hands-on experiments and applying their newly learnt knowledge.
Our science clubs involve:
- fact delivery
- interactive discussion
- hands-on experiments
- take-home projects
- well as weekly parental notes
